We Are The Arsenal Recording New Album

April 5, 2010

We Are The Arsenal will soon be entering the studio with producer Justin Powell to record the follow-up to their 2009 album They Worshipped The Trees. Below is a statement from band vocalist Ryan Terrigno.

We hit the studio on Wednesday to begin tracking drums with Justin Powell for the new “mini-album.” We’ll be in the studio a total of 8 days this month tracking everything.  The 6 songs are definitely We Are The Arsenal songs, but are a noticeable and natural progression from “They Worshipped The Trees.”  We feel the songs are powerful enough and represent such a large step forward for the band that we aren’t referring to it as simply an “EP.”  This is definitely the next official release from the band and we don’t see why we won’t flip the industry on its head and release another mini-album towards the end of the year!  I’ll be the first to admit that it’s a tragedy that the “album” seems to be dying these days, but we’re going to embrace it!  As you know, it’s all about putting out great music more often!

We’re sticking with some familiar themes lyrically but also branching out into some new territory questioning life, God, and the world around us! We’re also borrowing some ideas from an old Ray Bradbury short story for the album title.  We couldn’t be more excited.”
